Job Description

This position reports to the Legal Manager and is responsible for provision of legal support to the NNR legal team

Requirements

  • NQF level 7 (LLB or equivalent legal qualifications)
  • Knowledge of legal administration, governance, legal and regulatory compliance
  • Understanding of legal drafting principles
  • Understanding of the legal and regulatory framework in which the public entities operate

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Provide support to the legal team on all legal aspects relating to the functions and responsibilities of the NNR.
  • Provide legal administration support to the legal team in respect of legal reviews of all licensing processes relating to the issuing of authorisations to nuclear facility holders/applicants
  • Assist the legal team in drafting of agreements
  • Provide assistance to the legal team by conducting research
  • Provide general administrative support to the legal team

Preference will be given to candidates with no legal work experience
