Job Description

To provide editorial services to all the NNR employees and to also ensure that all documents are in the correct templates and meet the required standards in terms of language and grammar


  • Grade 12
  • NQF level 7 in Communications specialising in English language
  • Minimum of 3 years' working experience in editing
  • Knowledge on ISO 9001 would be advantageous
  • Expert level proficiency in Ms Office 

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Proofread and edit organisational documents (Edit grammar, spelling, punctuation and syntax, use of figures and tables, technical terms and definitions for consistency of use and clarity and content in Ms Word) and check for technical accuracy based on the editing style guide of the organisation
  • Exercises good judgement in assessing the level of edit a piece of documentation requires at every stage of the process
  • Ensure documents comply with the systel guide and approved templates
  • Develop and edit organisational templates
  • Develop the style guide of the organisation
  • Develop language and technical editing process
  • Ensure compliance to organisational document templates
